Supporting your well-being

Services
Counselling and Psychotherapy has a process of a beginning, a middle and ending. In the beginning, we will start to build our therapeutic relationship and for you to get used to the space in which you can begin to explore the challenges that you are facing.
At the middle point of the process, and this has no time limits or expectations on where you may or may not be in your therapy journey, we will have a more in-depth look at what may be going on.
It is important that we have an ending session, if and when you choose to end your counselling experience. This is where we can evaluate your experience and to ensure that you leave feeling safe and in a better place mentally as you move forward.
Therapy can benefit you in the following ways:
- Help you to explore challenging situations, experiences and relationships and help you to understand and manage them in a more empowering way.
- Allow you the time and space to work through the issues you may be facing.
- Help you to learn more about the relationship that you have with yourself and others.
- Help you understand more about your thoughts and feelings and patterns of behaviour that you may have adopted growing up.
- Help you to explore your current thought processes and ways in which to make healthier changes to create a happier, easier to manage and more enjoyable way of living.
It is easy to think that as your therapist I am here to offer advice and to give you the answers to the challenges that you are facing, however in my role as a therapist I would not be allowing you to develop the tools and coping mechanisms you need for long term sustainable change.
I am here to listen, support and help you consider alternative perspectives and empower you to make helpful changes in finding your own solutions to the problems in your life going forward,
